Your gpu is fine for alyx, I played it when it came out on an oculus rift and a 1070! You need to plug your PC into the router, and you need to be near the router with your Quest 3. Steamlink should be OK, but I use Virtual Desktop and it’s great too.
I have recently just got an Oculus Quest 2, and it works great. However I have a small problem regarding Half Life Alyx. I currently have 2 Systems, My primary desktop and my laptop. When I play on my laptop, the resolution looks much nicer, Anti Aliasing is much more noticeable in the game. Headset: Oculus Rift CV1 Now, the CPU field is especially important, as I'm sure you've noticed I've included two different CPUs that I've tested. Half-Life: Alyx is a really CPU-intensive game. You may notice this if you change the graphics settings in-game and don't notice any framerate improvements whatsoever. I have a 3090 and 5800x. 120 hz worked in oculus overlay and the steam overlay but had forced reprokextion or AWS or something on half life alyx. I bought a link cable and still had the issue. I checked fpsVR and I was definitely hitting the frame times and 120fps in the game… but it was obvious to my eyes that it was reprojecting.
Half-Life: Alyx installation freezes. While this is the first step to any video game, players have reported installation hang issues in Half-Life: Alyx. This may be an issue with the disk space
I just got an Oculus Quest 2 and I've been playing on my PC no problem. I downloaded Half-Life Alyx on a torrent site to see if my PC can run it. I played for a little and the performance was good. But after buying it, Half-Life is giving me super bad performance stutter. I've been trying for hours to get it working.
Inside the Oculus App, change the audio settings to - Quest 2 Mic Quest 2 Headphones Enabled "Hear VR Audio from Computer" Enabled "Hear Computer Audio in VR" Inside windows desktop audio settings - change default device to Realtek Digital Output. After you set all these settings, POWER OFF the Oculus and the PC APP and restart.
Exactly the same issue, but I'm using an Occulus Rift S. Fine in the SteamVR and Alyx menu, but as soon as the game is loaded the game floor is about 8 inches below my real floor. I can confirm it is not a set-up issue if you load one of your previous saves, floor height is fine loading the most recent save has the floor height issue.

Hello Oculus community, Since a few days, I am struggling to tune my computer settings in order to run HL:Alyx at a solid 80FPS and I am now out of idea. Yet, my system meets the minimum requirements from the store page. My specs: VR headset: Oculus Rift S HMD FW 2.2/Oculus 14.0.0.170.710 GPU: GeForce RTX 2080 8Gb Driver 445.75 Kshaon Apr 1, 2021 @ 7:17am. Thanks for the suggestion, turns out the issue was due to my menu and oculus buttons being swapped in the normal oculus settings (for some reason

So I bought virtual desktop on my Oculus Quest 2 and Installed Virtual Desktop Streamer onto My PC, But whenever I play Half-Life Alyx or any Steamvr Game, Freezes, whenever I look around the whole image seems glitched out, in other words, it crashed and then either the virtual desktop won't load up or my pc will show up on the virtual desktop app, but I can't open it because it says it's

Pro tip: Half Life: Alyx is on sale (25% off, historical low) on Steam right now until Nov 2! I'm so happy to report that HL: Alyx runs amazingly well on the G14 with an Oculus Quest 2 and Virtual Desktop!
For nvidia and oculus app, I got everything up to date I got 2.5 Gpps from link cable. I'll try to unistall the nvidia drivers with DDU and install it again. Then reinstall the game. Funny thing is that quest 2 users say that updates on the game makes it stutter, only version 1.0 works perfectly. I don't know how to rollback updates on alyx

This happens with Half-Life: Alyx and ends up affecting steamVR and the oculus app on my PC with steamVR changing into the loading game scene forever (I don't launch from steamVR home). This normally happens when I launch directly from Oculus link or the Steam client but most commonly Oculus link from the headset.

I finally got a setup capable of running Half Life: Alyx, and I'm now at a loss. I'm using an Oculus Quest 2 and the official link cable and running Alyx in SteamVR. I have 16GB RAM, RTX 3070 OC, Ryzen 9 3900x and am running HL:A from an M.2 SSD. I've noticed a lot of stuttering while using locomotion. The stuttering isn't there when just .
